Carved entirely by hand from white pine, the piece stands approximately 6.75 inches tall and 3.75 inches wide and is finished on both sides with the same carefully carved quilt design, allowing it to be displayed openly on a shelf, mantel, or tabletop.
The quilt block features a bold, star-like pattern carved in relief, with crisp angles and layered geometry that give the piece depth and presence. Hand-painted in shades of deep navy, soft white, silvery gray, and light blue, the colors echo timeworn quilts and blue skies. Subtle shimmer catches the light and brings gentle movement to the carved shapes, while the warm wood grain remains visible beneath the paint, grounding the piece in its natural material.
