This hand-carved maple leaf ornament is a celebration of autumn color, traditional quilting, and thoughtful craftsmanship. Carved from a reclaimed scrap piece of white pine, the leaf measures 5 inches long by 3.75 inches wide and is finished on both sides, making it beautiful from every angle.
Each side features a different quilt-inspired pattern, carefully carved and hand-painted in rich fall tones—deep burgundy, warm copper, crimson, and golden accents. The carved quilt blocks add depth and texture, while the subtle shimmer highlights the carving details without overpowering the natural warmth of the wood.
This ornament works equally well on a holiday tree, an autumn wreath, a door knob, or as a seasonal accent hung year-round. As with all my work, this piece is entirely hand carved and hand painted—no two are ever alike.
